Geiriau
Cydganed dynoliaeth ar ddydd gwaredigiaeth,
Daeth trefn y Rhagluniaeth i’r g’leuni,
A chân Haleliwia o fawl i’r Gorucha,
Meseia Jiwdea, heb dewi.
Moliannwn o lawenydd, gwir ydyw fod Gwaredydd:
Fe anwyd Ceidwad inni, sef Crist y Brenin Iesu,
Cyn dydd, cyn dydd, ym Methlem yn ddigudd
Y mae Gwaredydd ar foreuddydd,
O wele ddedwydd ddydd!
Ein Meichiau a’n Meddyg, dan fflangell Iddewig,
Ar agwedd un diddig yn dioddef;
A’i farnu gan Peilat, A’i wisgo mewn scarliat
Gan ddynion dideimlad, rhaid addef;
A phlethu draenen bigog, yn goron anhrugarog,
A’i gosod mewn modd creulon ar ben Iachawdwr dynion:
Fel hyn, fel hyn, y gwisgwyd Iesu gwyn,
O dan arteithiau ein mawrion feiau
I boenau pen y bryn.
Defnyddiwn ein breintiau, mae perygl o’n holau,
Cyn delo dydd angau, dihangwn;
Mae heddiw’n ddydd cymod a’r swper yn barod,
A’r bwrdd wedi ei osod, O brysiwn!
Mae’r dwylaw fu dan hoelion yn derbyn plant afradlon
I wlad y Ganaan nefol, i wledda yn dragwyddol.
Amen, Amen. Boed moliant byth, Amen.
Haleliwia i’r Messeia sy’n maddau byth, Amen.
Cyfieithiad i’r Saesneg
Let mankind sing together for the day of salvation,
The light of divine providence is shining,
And the song ‘Hallelujah!’ of praise to the Highest
The Messiah of Judea, without ceasing.
Let us praise with joy, it is the truth that he is the Redeemer:
A Saviour was born for us, who is Christ Jesus the King,
Before the day, before the day, in Bethlehem in poverty,
The Saviour is found at daybreak; Oh! behold the happy day!
Our Surety and our Healer, under a Jewish scourge,
With a submissive attitude suffering,
Is judged by Pilate, while clothed in scarlet,
By hard-hearted men, it must be admitted;
Who plait with prickly thorns a merciless crown,
Placed in a cruel way on the head of the Saviour of men;
Like this, like this, was arrayed blessed Jesus,
Tortured by our great sinfulness
Until the agony on top of the hill.
Let us receive what He offers, there is danger at our backs,
Before the day of death comes, may we escape;
Today is the day for redemption, and supper is ready,
And the table set; Oh! let us hurry!
The hands that were nailed now receive prodigal children
Into the land of heavenly Canaan forever to feast.
Amen, Amen. Let praise be for ever Amen.
Hallelujah to the Messiah, who ever forgives, Amen.
