This was a real flat of sixty tons called the Ann, built at Frodsham in 1799, bought by her master Captain Hugh Pugh and two friends in 1848 and registered by them in Caernarfon. She was smack-rigged, square sterned, with lifting bowsprit, measured 62 ft by 15 ft by 7 ft, and was wrecked on Ynys Tudwal [off the east coast of the Llŷn Peninsula] in 1858. (J. Glyn Davies).
